【摘要】:Thermalinsulatingmaterialsthatproduceobjectionableodorscouldcausediscomforttopersonsoccupyingastructureinsulatedwithsuchmaterials.Therefore,anexaminationtodeterminetheodorpotentialofaparticularinsulationisdesirable.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedureforsubjectivedeterminationoftheexistence,nature,anddegreeofodorspresentinalltypesofthermalinsulationmaterials.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtoevaluatetheairqualityaspectsthatanysuchodorsmaypresent.1.2Thestandardtestconditionformaterialevaluatedunderthistestmethodis149+1.8oF(65,u>+1oC).Standardspecificationsreferencingthistestmethodmayrequireothertestconditions.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
