【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesaprocedureonhowtoimprovetheperformanceofaroutineXRFmethod,alreadyinuseforanalysisofhighalloysteels,byusinga”nearbytechnique”.The”nearbytechnique”requiresatleastonetargetsample(preferableaCRM)ofasimilarcompositionastheunknownsample.Themethodisapplicabletoanalysisofeitherchill-castorwroughtsampleshavingadiameterofatleast25mmandwithacarbonconcentrationoflessthan0,3%(seeNOTE).Otherelementsshouldhaveaconcentrationbelow0,2%.NOTEHighcarbonconcentrations,incombinationwithhighMoandCrconcentrations,couldhaveundesirablestructuraleffectsonthesampleandcouldaffectthedeterminationofphosphorusandchromium,inparticular.Matrixeffectsexistbetweentheelementslisted.Tocompensateforthoseinter-elementeffects,mathematicalcorrectionsshallbeapplied.Avarietyofcomputerprogramsforcorrectionsiscommonlyusedandincludedinthesoftwarepackagefromthemanufacturers.
